Room Therapy: Bathroom Bliss

In our busy days, sometimes the only quiet time we might get alone for relaxation, reflection and replenishment is in our bathroom. Here are some tips from us on how to create bathroom bliss…

  1. For the ultimate relaxation, keep the colour palette quiet and calm. We recommend neutral shades of white, creams and the palest aquas.

  2. Mix a range of natural materials in this room to keep it feeling organic, such as stone, wood and metal. They are more comforting to touch and look more soothing and gentle.

  3. To help create a calm sanctuary or spa mood that will treat all your senses, install a dimmer switch for your ceiling lights so that the lighting can be softened while resting in the bath. Bring in some lanterns for candlelight.

  4. Treat yourself to a luxurious bath mat and your favourite towels. We love hamman towels as they transport us to a holiday place and look gorgeous lined up on a towel ladder.

  5. Place a wooden chair or stool close to the bath. This will help the bathroom feel less sterile and more like a room to spend time in. They are also handy for placing clothes, a towel, easy to reach products and your cup of herbal tea or glass of wine.

  6. Our pick of the best products to go with all this are Balance Me’s Super Moisturising Bath and Body range. They smell divine!

  7. Finally, play gentle music that transports you to a calm place…
