As discussed, we would love to see if new handleless doors could be put on your kitchen units and perhaps these could be painted in Dulux Mossy Stone. We hope that Toby can help with this as well as cleaning up the worktops and installing a radiator cover. We are suggesting a marble effect tile for the splash back area, creating a stylish link to your dining table. It would be great to install some simple under-cupboard lighting as this will help the space to feel cosier. A selection or wooden chopping boards and storage boxes and potted herbs will also bring warmth to the kitchen area as shown.
As discussed, the addition of sheepskin over your wire chairs might bring enough of an improvement but we have offered some alternative chair options should you like to add more green to the room. Candlelight on the table will also bring warmth and style. The placement of a rug under the table will feel more cosy and zone the space.
In terms of colour, as said, the Mossy Stone would look gorgeous on the kitchen units and perhaps carrying on over the ceiling. White is complimentary and would of course work on the other walls but for more warmth and cosiness, you could try painting the large wall in Farrow and Ball’s Green Smoke. We have chosen black lighting, frames and picture shelves for this wall and a natural wooden clock for the return wall by the table. The large arched floor light should sit stylishly over the table.
The placement of a ficus tree in a basket and decorated with fairy lights brings nature and cosy light further into the room.
We have suggested white daylight roller blinds for the windows as they are simple, natural and elegant.
